Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of kadojapan.com (the "Site") and any purchase made through it. The Site is operated by KADO Japan ("KADO Japan", "we", "us", or "our"). By browsing, placing an order, or creating an account you agree to be bound by these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Refund & Return Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order. By ordering you represent that the information you submit is accurate and that any payment method you use is your own or that you are authorized to use it.

3. Products, Availability & Authenticity

KADO Japan sources products directly from licensed Japanese retailers including Pokémon Center, Disney Store Japan, Nintendo Tokyo, and atmos Tokyo. We guarantee that every item is 100% authentic.

All product descriptions, images, weights, dimensions, and stock counts are provided in good faith but may contain errors. Inventory is limited and sometimes allocated across multiple sales channels; an order may be cancelled and refunded if an item becomes unavailable after purchase. Colors may vary slightly due to monitor settings and production batches.

Product listings may reference brand names, character names, and trademarks owned by their respective rights holders for descriptive purposes only. No sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation is implied between KADO Japan and those rights holders unless stated explicitly.

4. Pricing, Taxes & Currency

Prices are displayed in the currency of your selected market and are inclusive of Japanese consumption tax where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice. Orders shipped outside Japan may incur import duties, VAT, or customs fees levied by the destination country, which are the buyer's responsibility. Shopify or our payment processor may also apply currency conversion.

5. Orders & Payment

Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase. The contract is formed only when we confirm acceptance and dispatch the order. We reserve the right to refuse, limit, or cancel any order at our sole discretion, including orders that appear fraudulent, reseller orders that violate Japanese-market purchase limits, or orders from regions we are unable to serve.

We accept major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay. All payments are processed through Shopify Payments and relevant payment networks; we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.

6. Pre-orders

Pre-order items are charged at checkout and ship when the manufacturer releases them in Japan. Release dates provided by manufacturers may shift; we will notify you by email if your pre-order date changes materially. You may cancel a pre-order and obtain a full refund at any time before the item ships.

7. Shipping & Delivery

We ship worldwide using DHL Express and Japan Post (EMS, Airmail). Processing time is typically 1–3 business days. Transit time is 3–21 business days depending on carrier and destination. Delivery time estimates are not guarantees, and KADO Japan is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. 8. Returns & Refunds

Items may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a full refund. Returned items must be unused and in their original packaging. Sealed trading card products (booster boxes, packs, ETBs) cannot be returned once opened. If your item arrives damaged, email us at support@kadojapan.com within 48 hours of delivery with photographs. 9. Accounts

You may create an account to save addresses, track orders, and speed up future checkouts. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@kadojapan.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any associated systems.
• Interfere with, probe, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload the Site or its infrastructure.
• Use automated means (bots, scripts) to place orders, bypass purchase limits, or enumerate product data.
• Resell KADO Japan products in a way that infringes the rights of any licensed brand or violates local resale laws.
• Upload or submit content that is false, infringing, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site or to any account if we believe these Terms have been breached.

11. Intellectual Property

The Site, its layout, design, source code, original copy, and original photography are the property of KADO Japan and protected by Japanese and international copyright and trademark law. You may browse and share links to public pages for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any other use — including reproduction, republication, scraping, or commercial reuse — requires prior written permission. Product images supplied by manufacturers remain the property of those manufacturers.

12. User-Submitted Content

If you submit reviews, photographs, comments, or other content to the Site (collectively, "User Content"), you grant KADO Japan a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that User Content in connection with the Site and our marketing. You represent that you own or have the right to grant this license and that your User Content does not infringe any third-party rights.

13. Third-Party Services

The Site integrates third-party services such as Shopify, payment processors, analytics providers, and shipping carriers. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their conduct or content.

14. Disclaimers

The Site and the products sold through it are provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, nor that product descriptions are complete or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits statutory consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KADO Japan's aggregate liability arising out of or related to your use of the Site or any purchase shall not exceed the amount you paid for the order giving rise to the claim. KADO Japan shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, even if advised of the possibility.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KADO Japan, its officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Site, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Site or these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court, Japan, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version takes effect on the date indicated at the top of the page. Your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated in the footer of the Site or by email to registered customers.
